This is the first organized project that focuses on tiles, a type of ceramic. Students from all over Japan were invited to submit their designs and ideas for new tiles. In the elementary and junior high school category, the “Kids Competition: Future Tiles that You Design”, their works will be displayed in the venue, and the Grand Prix will be decided by popular vote of the visitors. In the “Tile Design Koshien” for high school and national institute of technology college students, two excellent works selected by the judges from the entries will be made into actual tile prototypes and displayed in Gallery Walk.
