    Visitors can see behind-the-scenes of the creation of “yakumono” ( special tiles of corners and edges) and accessories, which are not usually seen. In the workshop, visitors can try making pottery accessories by coloring and shaving the base material.

    You can watch the production of mosaic tiles and try making accessories using the tiles.

    A tour of tile factory and a show-room are available. Visitors can observe the tile manufacturing process.

    “Koubeigama” opened in 1804. Visitors can see the main building, the exhibition room (special exhibition), Museum of Old Ceramics, the Arts and Crafts Museum, and observe the creation of accessories, as well as experience painting accessories.

    Visitors can tour a tile factory and show-room. You can see up close the site where the tiles are made and the kiln where the tiles are fired.

    “Kakuyama” was founded in 1897. Each product is carefully hand-painted and finished one by one. Visitors can experience pottery making while observing daily operations, such as the products lined up on a board and being dried in the courtyard.
