Sousuke Fujimoto was born in Hokkaido in 1971.

After he graduated from the Department of Architecture of the Faculty of Engineering, the University of Tokyo, he established Sou Fujimoto Architects in 2000.

He won the Best Montpellier International Design Competition Award (France) in 2014, the best Saclay École Polytechnique Learning Center (Paris, France) International Design Competition Award in 2015 and the best Réinventer Porte Maillot District (Paris, France) International Design Competition Award in 2016.

His masterpieces are the Serpentine Gallery Pavilion, London (2013), House NA (2011), Musashino Art University Library (2010), House N (2008), etc.
